Transportation

Welcome to the Colorado Early Colleges Transportation Department web page for Inverness. We believe that ensuring proper access to learning starts with our students traveling to and from school safely, regardless of their mode of travel. CECI offers several transportation options for our families to consider: CECI RTD Public Transit Options, and CECI Way-to-Go Schoolpool Program.

IMPORTANT BUS TRANSPORTATION UPDATES FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR

Due to the low family enrollment in RouteABus, CECI will not be offering bus services for the 2020-2021 school year.

However, we encourage our families to participate in the CECI Way-to-Go Schoolpool Program.

This is a mapping service that will allow our families to enter their address or cross streets and match with other CECI families that are within 7.5 miles. The more CECI families that sign up, the more effective this program will be. So while you may not need to carpool, there may be a family near you that does.

You should have received an email with a secure link to access our Way-to-Go Schoolpool page. If you did not receive this email or need us to resend the secure link, please email Mary Bain.

Way to Go is a regional partnership between the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG)and a dedicated group of Transportation Management Associations (TMAs). We work together to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and make life better for the region’s residents. Formerly known as Ride Arrangers, we’ve been promoting better commuting options for employers and individuals for more than 30 years.

If you need help transporting your kids to and from school, Way to Go can help you get started with Schoolpool for FREE. Our secure system will connect you with families in your neighborhood to share in the responsibilities of getting the kids to school and back via carpooling, walking, biking or riding either RTD or the school bus together. Thousands of other families from Denver-area schools are already connected to the shared Schoolpool program. ...What are you waiting for? Just try it! You’ll gain support and a sense of community and get some much-needed school transportation help in return.

 SCHOOLPOOL TIPS:

  2. Exchange important information.
  3. Decide on a schedule: how many days a week will you get to school together?
  4. Plan ahead and be on time.
  5. Establish a back-up plan.
  6. Set ground rules.
  7. Have fun!
