Veggies from the CECFC garden

CEC Inverness will be a scratch kitchen with a farm to school program.

The onsite kitchen construction has been delayed due to the Covid virus.  Until the kitchen is up and running you may preorder meals that will be delivered twice a week to the school.

Pre-ordered meal service

CEC is committed to creating delicious meals during our fall schedule and have developed a pre-ordering system for parents and students to help you with meal prep during these challenging times. Breakfast and Lunch Combos will be delivered on Mondays and Wednesdays.  On Monday meals for Monday and Tuesday are delivered.  Wednesday the rest of the week’s meals are delivered. The Aurora kitchen is only serving meals Monday thru Thursday so your Friday meal may not be what is listed on the menu.

  • Students can receive 5 meal combos meals a week.
  • Each meal combo includes our scratch-made breakfast meal and a full 5 component lunch including a ½ pint of Royal Crest Dairy milk.  Pre-order your meals by going to CEC Nutrition Services under the Student & Parent tab of your schools website or click on order here

Free/Reduced Lunch Important COVID-19 Update
The Colorado Department of Human Services has teamed up with USDA to issue Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) benefits to school-aged children who would have received free or reduced-price meals during the time that schools have been closed.

Each household with a child receiving free or reduced-price meals is eligible for an amount of $5.70 per child, per school day on a Colorado EBT card that will support the family in creating healthy, wholesome meal options for kids who are home during the school day.

For Colorado families that currently receive SNAP benefits and whose children attend a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program, no action will be needed from the family and benefits will automatically be issued (more details to come when the date these funds will be available). Families that do not participate in the SNAP program, and whose children attend school that participates in the National School Lunch Program will need to fill out the free and reduced application to begin the process.
